Almost 3 inches wide at the heel, and with a 10 inch blade, this is a very large forged chef knife. Ground very thin, this knife is very light for its size. The blade is made from my own low layer laddered 1084/15n20 pattern welded steel. Fine silver and micarta spacers, and an Ironwood handle.
This is a professional quality knife that will continue to cut well through years and years of resharpenings, and will develop a dramatic patina.
